This residential family development is situated in the highly coveted village of Al Uyaynah, Saudi Arabia. This weekend residence was designed in three separate zones, with each zone featuring separate programmatic functions including family, formal, staff support and service related programs based on the Clients provided requirements. The residences were designed to benefit from a variety of site specific contextual parameters in order to ideally orient this home's building footprint and design linearity to maximize the user efficiency and long term sustainability of the home’s interior and exterior experiences. The development was designed to fully exhibit a refined level of craftsmanship and thoughtful selection of indigenous materials relevant to the region's local habitats, climate and cultural heritage. Each home's design was approached with a sensitivity to the local municipal design guidelines and requirements while introducing an array of design nuances intended to inspire and exceed current comfort and convenience conventions associated with remote living in Saudi Arabia. ​
