House 01 | KSA
This private home designed by Abourass Design Lab LLC located in Riyadh revisits and re-identifies the relationship of the conventional Saudi neighborhood home to its current street condition. The utilization of typically forgotten space was maximized without crowding the homes lifestyle experience. The home features locally sourced materials, solar thermal heating by (Solarhart), a grey water reclamation system and the use of reclaimed building materials during the construction of the home's elevations and tertiary steel built elements. This home proposes a potential alternative available to Riyadh's neighborhoods when considering urban rehabilitation strategies.
